I’m an Auslan Interpreter who is from the country and prefers to work in the country. YES! A face to face interpreter in the RURAL and REGIONAL areas!!
I have had horses and a managerie of animals all my life and still enjoy competing with my very cheeky Palomino. I worked as a Drover for over 16 years at the good old Ballarat Saleyards weighing Cattle as well as receival of Cattle and Sheep. I used to to 14 hours with my amazing Kelpie counting and penning Sheep and Lambs. (Truth be told he would only do 12 hrs and watch me from the back of the ute for the next two!)
Extensive knowledge of the Veterinary sector having worked as a locum Vet Nurse for 20 years and my own animals having weird and wonderful problems
Truck licence (Road Ranger) HC
Forklift licence
Motorbike licence
I have all of these and can support you to gain your licences
Do you want to go to Ag Field Days, Shows & Seminars with someone who understands the area?
I am the person you want.
Often my Jack Russell is with me on jobs, especially when I do SES training jobs. I’ve been lucky enough to travel most of Australia by road with my animals. I live on property but am able to do “blocks” of work, this means if you need a few appointments covered over two or three weeks I am able to work in the area for that amount of time. If there are multiple clients within an approximate 50 km radius I would be happy to organise my time around all your needs.
I don’t book more than 3 jobs a day, in case someone needs longer than 2 hours, situations change and I understand you need an interpreter who is not on a strict timelimit.
